Minyada & Paul married on a hot summers day in Auckland.
I first met Minyada & Paul at an engagement shoot we did together & they talked about their 2 weddings they were planning! Minyada is from a little rural village in northern Thailand & planned to get married there earlier in the year & then have another casual shin dig back in New Zealand.
As soon as they mentioned the food I couldn’t wait for this wedding to roll around! A great big afternoon feast with home cooked, BBQ style thai food – YUM.
They had their reception in an old barn just down from the woods where they got married. Friends & family sat at long tables. Everyone mingled & chatted loudly feasting on delicious food that just kept being passed around.
Before the speeches the 3 of us ducked out for some sunset shots at Paul’s Dad’s market garden just down the road. Paul spent his child hood running around here & helping his Dad so it only seemed right to pop back, jump in the cornfields & climb in amongst the wild flowers.
I felt so at home & welcomed by their generous & kind loved ones that by the end of the night I felt like a part of their little world & I didn’t want to leave these new friends of mine.
This is their sweet story.
